Maplefood Garden Volunteer Form 

 

The HUB is a School Based Youth Services Program (SBYSP) that helps all students, regardless of academic level or background, to get the most out of their school experience. We deliver mental health counseling, skills-building groups, academic support, mentoring, expressive arts and recreation, all on-site at MMS, 12-months a year, both during and after school hours.  All services are open to the entire MMS community.  All participation is voluntary, confidential and FREE of charge!  Students are required to have a signed consent form to participate.

 

Counseling

  • Individual and Family Counseling
  • Life Skills Training
  • Group Counseling

Positive Prevention

  • Workshops and Groups on Issues Such as Peer Pressure, Substance Abuse, Gang Prevention and Anger Management
  • Case Management Services to Individuals and Families as Needed

 Academic Support

  • Free Homework Help After School
  • Referrals to ACHIEVE Volunteer Tutoring Program

 Recreation and Enrichment

  • Cultural Enrichment Workshops on Various Areas of Interest
  • Open Gym, Video Games, Board Games, Crafts and Other Activities
  • Field Trips Offering Social, Cultural and Positive Experiences

 Community Outreach

  • Collaboration with Community Organizations to Plan Programming and Projects for Youth in the Community
  • Workshops for Parents

Program Information:       Open Monday-Friday 9:30am-5:30pm, Evenings by Appointment

                                     After School Activities Daily 2:45pm -5:30pm

                                     Open Year Round, During Most School Holidays and Vacations
