SPECIAL EDUCATION PTO

The South Orange Maplewood Special Education Parent Teacher Organization (SPED-PTO) works to make a difference in the lives of all children with special needs.  Its goal is to promote the welfare of the special education student by providing parents with the tools and information they need to work collaboratively with the school district and be more effective advocates for their children.

SPED-PTO meetings are held in the Board Of Education meeting room at 525 Academy Street, Maplewood, and begin at 7:30 pm.  Membership is free.  All parents who have a child receiving special education services in the district or who live in the district but whose child is in an out of district placement are already members of the PTO.
