MMS DANCE-A-THON: COME TO DANCE; STAY TO WIN AN iPAD! The first ever MMS Dance-A-Thon is happening on Friday, October 28th! There are *new* details and rules and incentives to get all students to participate, including earning Battle of the Classes points and a raffle to win their very own iPad! 6TH GRADE SOCIAL RESCHEDULED: We’re rescheduling the 6th grade social for a date TBD in November so as not to conflict with the Dance-A-Thon. Please urge your 6th graders to gather with their classmates and party at the Dance-A-Thon instead! In particular we know the 6th graders will want to earn Battle of the Classes points for their grade at the event. So please help talk it up! Thanks!

BOX TOPS: Please remind your kids that Student Council has an ongoing Box Top collection. Box Tops count toward Battle of the Classes points! Make sure to indicate your student’s grade on the envelope or bag.

SOMA SPECIAL SERVICES DEPARTMENT: On Thursday, October 20th, from 7pm-8:30pm in the CHS Cafeteria, the Special Services Department is hosting a “Back to School Night” for families of students receiving special services in the district. There will be introductions of district special services staff and a brief presentation, followed by break-out sessions where families are invited to interact with Child Study Team members and parent representatives from SPED PTO, SEPAC, and SOMA 2e.
